About

Hi! We're big fans of Yasuhisa Hara's Kingdom (キングダム), and of its anime and live-action films too. We like sharing day-to-day updates on Twitter, and this is where we store the longer pieces (because sometimes the character limit on Twitter is simply not enough, even with threads).

We try to search more details about how Kingdom came to be, what Hara was doing before he started it, and the awards, stories and milestones along the way, and much more. Kingdom now has official editions in English, French and other languages, and more readers find it every year. We'd love for them to know these stories too.

We find most of these stories in Japanese sources, mainly Weekly Young Jump, the official manga site, Shueisha's S-MANGA catalogue, the official anime and film sites, and interviews in Japanese media. Every post lists the exact pages it uses, and quotations are our own translations unless we say otherwise.

This is an unofficial fan project. We're not affiliated with Hara, Shueisha or the anime and film production companies. We do this because we love the series, and we hope it sends people back to the original work. We don't share scans or leaks, and we're not out to infringe anyone's copyright. Quotes stay short and credited, and images belong to their rights holders.

If something we've used is yours and you'd like it changed or removed, just message us on Twitter and we'll sort it out.
